Spring Family Adventure

IMG_2435

We went on a family trip this weekend! We had such a great time, and it was nice to just take some time together as a family away from home. It was Olivia's first family adventure and her first Spring outing ever!

It all started with a Justin Roberts concert on Friday afternoon. The big kids seemed to enjoy the music, but Ellery did report that it was too loud! Both kids wanted to sit and draw on the balloons they were given more than dance, at first. Jeff got up and danced with them to warm them up, and just before we walked out the door, they both got a little dancing in.

Then, we had a yummy dinner and headed to the hotel. The kids didn't get rest time Friday, so we decided to get them to bed as early as possible. I took the computer with great plans of doing a couple of blogs and doing some last minute birthday party plans. And, Jeff and I were going to watch a movie. Well, let's just say that when the lights went out for the kids, Jeff and I both looked at each other and knew that our plans were out because our sleep deficit had set in! :)

Saturday morning, we ate a delicious Panera (our favorite) breakfast! Then, the big kids went swimming with Daddy and had a blast! We then made a quick trip to Target (it's hard to go anywhere without a Target trip, it seems) and headed for some parks! One of them was by the lake, and Kiran kept saying, "It's so beautiful, here!"

The kids did a great job everywhere we went, and Kiran just kept saying, "This was such a great idea! Thank you, guys!"

The big kids rode their scooters and played on the playgrounds! Olivia, on the other hand, used the day to catch up on sleep. Oh wait, that's most of what this little girl does these days! She is such a sweet and content little baby girl! And, she seems to LOVE sleeping!
