What We've Been Up To
So, I am really excited about posting pictures of our activities as of late, but we've been having so much fun that I have a ton of photos. My plan is to get a few up each day as I have time, so keep checking the blog. (Actually, I'm including this later: I remembered that if you click on the photos, you will be linked to a photo account we have that includes lots of other pics. I don't have descriptions with them yet, but feel free to check them out!) We have enjoyed probably the best Spring/Early Summer weather since Jeff and I have been in TN! It is just gorgeous outside every single day - mild temperatures, enough rain but not too much, warm sunshine, very few bugs out, and my favorite is green, green, green everywhere!
The kids are having a blast together! They play so well with each other. Jeff has had a busy couple of weeks at work, so when we see him we enjoy every minute with Daddy! Tonight, we took turns working in the garden (which needs some help :)) and playing in the yard with the kids. Of course, while watering the garden, everyone had to get a little wet. Jeff played, "What time is it Mr. Whale?" (instead of Mr. Fox) and the kids would run up and get squirted like crazy when Mr. Whale said, "It's 7:15 - bathtime!" They giggled and kept coming back for more.
Then, we had to play our new game, McQueen (which means I say "Start your engines (while the kids wait in the fort and make scary engine revving noises)." Then, "On your mark, get set," then I fire my pretend starter pistol as Kiran dashes out of the fort with Ellery following several seconds behind. Both kids run around the yard in circles while I give commentary on the "race!" It's pretty hilarious, especially because I have no idea how to do "race talk!" Luckily the kids don't know how goofy Mom is yet!
Finally, we played "Red Light, Green Light" and "Simon Says" (animal version). So much fun! No pictures, just description, because I've learned that sometimes Moms and Dads just can't get silly enough if we have a camera in our hands!

We are so thankful for our friends, Bud and Vonda. They are incredible neighbors and friends, and we feel very blessed to know them. Recently, Bud helped move our big dirt pile with his tractor to fill in where we took out the shrubs in front of our house. He also graded part of our backyard! This is so awesome because now I can do some landscaping!
